M/s Maa Durga Group of holding companies have setup a Captive Power Plant (C.P.P) consisting of one unit of capacity 1.2 MW to feed power to their industries comprising of Rice Mills, Floor Mills etc. They have already acquired about 15 hectors of land adjoining to the existing unit where they propose to setup the 2 X 30 mw Coal Based Thermal Power Plant as an extension to the existing plant.

The proposed power plant would be located at Bainchua, Tangi, Dist. Cuttack, Orissa having an approximate area of about 29 acres, which is already in the process of acquisition and conversion. Company is in the process of developing the site on the acquired land. The site of Bainchua is conveniently accessible by rail and road. The site is about 1 km from NH-5 and is situated at distance of about 15 km from Cuttack city. The main East-Coast Railway Line (formerly South-Eastern Railway) passes adjacent to the site. An approach road from the NH to the site has been constructed thereby providing direct linkage with the proposed plant site for transportation of various plants, equipments, feedstock and personnel. The nearest coal deposit, Talcher Coal Field will be approximately 80 kms from the proposed Power Plant

The nearest airport at Bhubaneswar is situated at about 40 kms away from the project area. The nearest port is Paradeep is well connected by road as well as rail with this area, which will be approximately 120 kms from the proposed Power Plant.
